Prerequisites

Before starting, ensure you have:

  • Login credentials for your cPanel account
  • Your SSL certificate files (Certificate, Private Key, and CA Bundle)

Step 1 — Install the Certificate

  1. Log in to your cPanel.
  2. In the Security section, click on SSL/TLS.
  3. Click on Manage SSL sites (under the "Install and Manage SSL for your website (HTTPS)" heading).
  4. Select your domain from the Domain dropdown menu.
  5. Paste your Certificate (CRT) text into the first box.
  6. Paste your Private Key (KEY) into the second box.
  7. Paste your CA Bundle (CABUNDLE) into the third box.
  8. Click the Install Certificate button.
💡
Autofill by Domain: If you've already uploaded the key or generated the CSR in cPanel, clicking "Autofill by Domain" after selecting the domain may automatically populate the boxes for you.

Step 2 — Force HTTPS Redirect

After installation, you should ensure all visitors are redirected to the secure version of your site.

  1. Go back to the cPanel home page.
  2. In the Domains section, click on Domains.
  3. Find your domain and toggle the Force HTTPS Redirect switch to On.

Step 3 — Verify Installation

Open your website with https:// prefix. If the padlock appears, the installation was successful. You can also use our SSL Checker to ensure your CA bundle is correctly configured for mobile devices.
